Dreams, is an authentic sounding, seven piece tribute to Fleetwood Mac. They perform in full costumes, similar to the actual styles worn by the original Fleetwood Mac . The band of professional musicians from Vancouver BC, has played many shows over the last few years in casinos, theatres and corporate events all around the world. Some of those places include Las Vegas, the Dominican Republic, Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Regina, to name a few. You will be amazed at how close Dreams - North America’s tribute to Fleetwood Mac, looks and sounds like the original Fleetwood Mac. They take you back in time so you can experience this amazing music all over again!

LAILA BIALI JUNO NOMINEE BEST VOCAL JAZZ ALBUM

Award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter and pianist Laila Biali melds “traditional jazz with contemporary pop so effortlessly that neither style seems out of place on the same record” (Spinner Magazine). Sought after for tours with GRAMMY winning artists Chris Botti, Paula Cole, Suzanne Vega and Sting, Laila has also headlined festivals and venues spanning five continents including Carnegie Hall. This year, Laila was the featured performer at the first-ever global TEDSummit. Her studio recording, Tracing Light, received a JUNO nomination for “Best Vocal Jazz Album of the Year”, and her follow-up, Live in Concert, was named one of the “Best Albums of 2013” by DownBeat Magazine. Laila is currently set to release a new album of original songs alongside covers of David Bowie, Coldplay and more.

PRAIRIE DEBUT PRESENTS: PROTEUS SAX QUARTET

Proteus Saxophone Quartet Tommy Davis, Holly DeCaigny, Mark Michalak, and Michael Morimoto; saxophones Formed in 2011, Proteus Saxophone Quartet met while the four members were studying in France. Upon return and now living across Canada, Proteus unites throughout the year for intensive projects, which have taken them through Western Canada, the USA and France. Each musician is a soloist in their own right and is active as a performer and teacher in their respective communities. Along with performing for festivals and concert series, they strive to perform music from many styles, which feature the saxophone and its diverse personas. They include works from the classical saxophone canon, popular tunes, and modern interpretations of non-idiomatic works for the saxophone. By programming interesting and engaging concerts, they aim to entertain and to educate the public about the vast range offered by the saxophone.

Canada’s Ballet Jörgen brings back the magical tale of the Russian Grand Duchess for the 100th anniversary of the story and the 10th anniversary of the production. Created by acclaimed choreographer and Artistic Director Bengt Jörgen, Anastasia follows the famous daughter of a Russian Tsar through the ballrooms of St. Petersburg, to the Russian Revolution and beyond in a production rich with stunning costumes and striking sets. This dramatic full-length ballet explores the emotions, aspirations and affections of this extraordinary young girl in one of the greatest mysteries of our time.

The Derina Harvey Band is an Edmonton-based Celtic rock ensemble whose mission is to entertain via a show that is engaging, energetic, and fun. This lively band of transplanted east-coasters deliver entertaining performances injected with a dose of humour from their fearless leader, Derina Harvey. Derina’s passion for storytelling through song is supported by a band of accomplished musicians who bring the songs of eastern Canada and the Celtic repertoire to life. The band has caused many an audience member to get up out of their seat in a fit of clapping or dancing!

COMEDY IN MOTION WITH BOB CATES

Bob Cates is a Canadian Juggling Champion, clean comedian,
and physical variety artist that has been delighting audiences for 20 years. He grew up on a cash crop and pig farm, but the stage was where he is at home. He keeps the crowd laughing with fast paced comedy routines involving advanced juggling, wild unicycling and balancing skills, and an insane real plate spinning finale that has to be seen to be believed. He is one of few entertainers left in North America performing authentic plate spinning – his signature piece. Bob’s small town charm, clean comedy, and witty sense of humour have won him fans all across the nation. Bob was awarded Entertainer of the Year at the 2016 Canadian Event Industry Awards. He has also been twice nominated for both “Best Variet Act” and “Best One Man Show” at the Canadian Comedy Awards.
